This piano was not my first choice since a lot of more expensive brands. However, I chose this great piano because I didn't think it worth for me as a new piano student to buy a acoustic piano. The first time I touched its keyboard and listened closely to the sound, it really amazed me. It is really hard for me to pick a difference between its sound and a real brand piano. This piano changes my thought that money come with value and digital piano may suit many people more than a big brand piano. My question is how can this piano is so cheap while its quality is more than that. However, my only one complaint is that the keyboard is not ivory touch.

I recently purchased this piano as my old Yamaha wasn't up to par for me. I have had the best of luck with all of the neat features the piano includes. With most new digital pianos, you have the USB port for MIDI access. The AP-220 let's you have the option of MIDI. Smartscore X: MIDI Edition is a great program to use with the piano. Casio has created a piano sound so close to a grand that it's like having a real piano, along with the other 16 accurate tones such as the Vibraphone, Jazz Organ, Harpsichord, ect.. The keys aren't weighted just like a grand but pretty darn close! The older versions of the AP Series had only the Sustain pedal and the Soft pedal but the AP-220 has the Sostenuto pedal. Though it's rarely used, it's nice to have it! The piano doesn't take to much space. It's a really dark brown so it needs to be dusted every once in a while. The built in songs are great to learn and listen to. Some that I want to play I can't because my hands can't stretch an octave while doing 16th notes! You can add Chorus and Reverb effects. The bass effect enhances any jazz-type song. Two headphone jacks makes it ideal for piano teachers. All in all, this piano is a bang for your buck! If you want a great digital piano for a more than reasonable price, this is it!
